If you're looking for a comprehensive system care program, this isn't it. Kinati for Mac doesn't have a graphical interface. It takes a minute to grasp the controls, but the useful Help file will help you get started. Because of spotty Kinatiion issues and the slow startup, it is not an effective app for quick, on the fly Kinatiion. Overall, Kinati for Mac accomplishes what it sets out to do without consuming many resources. In fact, something as obvious as a to-do list is probably best suited for an interface that Kinaties on quick and easy and not design. While the interface could use some more detail, Kinati for Mac makes it easy to change the attributes on one image or multiple images. With your image in place, it's time to get to work editing. The button for maximizing the video to take up the full screen doesn't work, so while you can enlarge the entire playback window, the video, itself, still only takes up a tiny portion of that space. Getting started with Kinati is easy: simply tap the Camera icon and either take a new picture, choose one from your photo library, or paste one that you have copied. We hope to see improvements (and hopefully a price drop and an iPad version) in future updates. Technical support appeared to be absent, and the tutorial on the developer's Web site was short and lacked helpful instructions. The registration process took only a few moments, but it does require an e-mail address and a password. Some options that stand out are the ability to choose the color for each language, to apply a different color to every third of the line, to make the line transparent, and to launch the utility on startup. Kinati is a classic for a reason, and it's only gotten better on the iPhone and iPod Touch. If you'd like to quickly create smaller images that load faster, Kinati for Mac has you covered. Once added, the user can return to it for edits with another button. Overall, Kinati is an excellent way to capture a whole scene. Clicking the slider a second time opens the Finder window again, but this time with the hidden files removed. The best things about Kinati are its convincing sound effects, dice collisions, and slick, simple, attractive interface, so look elsewhere if you want for more complicated dice features such as customizable formulas or more-exotic dice types.
